Testimony 27th January 2006 Tiny being saved
I attended a Friday evening prayer meeting at our church and a lady called Jean was there who is at every meeting. Jean is a widow, and in her 70's and loves God, and is much loved by the saints in our church, and lives in a small close of bungalows for retired people, and is active in sharing the love of God with her neighbours and telling them about our church.
That evening in the prayer meeting, Jean shared that she had visited another widow living near her that day, and felt this lady known as Tiny, did not have long to live. The Holy Spirit prompted me to tell Jean right away, that she was told this by God, because she had to lead Tiny to the Lord. Immediately after the prayer meeting I approached Jean and gave her one of God's cards and said that all she needed to do was to get Tiny to repeat the prayer on the card. Two days later on the Sunday, Jean shared that the next day on the Saturday she had visited Tiny again and Tiny had repeated the prayer of commitment after Jean as she read out the words from the card, and Tiny assured Jean she understood what they meant.
Within a few days, Tiny was admitted into hospital, and went home to the Lord on the 8th January 2006 aged 84 years. The funeral was at Peterborough crematorium and there were about 12 relatives, and a couple of neighbours with Jean, myself, and our Pastor Dennis Jordan who led the service. The message from Pastor Dennis for the unsaved relatives was excellent, with testimony from neighbours about Tiny as a friend and also how Tiny had recently became a Christian by repeating a special prayer. He mentioned that the hymn we sang was kept in her purse and also included scriptures John 3:16, John 14:1-6.
After the service was over we all gathered by the wreaths, and I was
chatting to a neighbour of Tiny about being a Christian, and asked him if he would like to see the prayer that Tiny made, and he surprised me by how keen he was to see it. Fortunately I had a good supply of God's cards in my pocket, and was able to also offer all the relatives a card with an example
of the prayer Tiny made when she became a Christian, and all were keen to have a card, and one relative I missed came and asked me for a card. I was amazed how the Holy Spirit had brought everything together, and prayed that the relatives and friends will also be saved.
